All Craft Exteriors' Matt Peterson graduates Leadership greater Rochester

All Craft Exteriors Production Operations Manager Matt Peterson has graduated from Greater Leadership Rochester, reflecting his commitment to professional growth, community leadership, and helping spearhead initiatives like “Tools for Tomorrow,” a project focused on supporting skilled trades education for local youth.

Investing in Leadership

At All Craft Exteriors, we believe strong companies are built by people who are willing to invest in growth—not just for themselves, but for their community.

This week, we’re proud to congratulate our Production Operations Manager, Matt Peterson, on graduating from the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce’s  Leadership Greater Rochester (LGR) program.

For those unfamiliar, LGR is not a casual lunch-and-learn where you collect a tote bag and pretend to remember everyone’s name afterward. It’s an intensive leadership development program focused on community engagement, civic understanding, collaboration, and real-world impact throughout the Rochester area.

A Serious Commitment

According to Matt, the experience demanded serious commitment.

“I would definitely recommend it, but it’s a big commitment. For the last 7–8 months I’ve had meetings every Sunday and Wednesday, on top of the time spent working on our community project. It’s not something you casually sign up for. (as I did)”

Building “Tools for Tomorrow”

That community project became one of the most meaningful parts of the experience.

Matt helped spearhead “Tools for Tomorrow,” an initiative developed through GLR in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester. The program is designed to introduce teens to practical trades skills through hands-on projects and mentorship opportunities, helping create pathways into skilled trades careers while building confidence and real-world experience.

The first major project will involve students building chairs for the 2027 “A Chair Affair Gala,” combining craftsmanship, teamwork, and community involvement into something students can physically point to and say: Yeah, I built that.

Frankly, in a world where too many teenagers are told the only acceptable future involves staring into spreadsheets or becoming “content creators,” teaching practical skills that actually build things feels refreshingly grounded.

Matt also stepped into a Co-Leader role during the initiative, helping guide the project while representing both All Craft Exteriors and the construction industry in a positive way.

“On the business side, I’ve been able to connect a few projects and hopefully future ones for All Craft through LGR. I also stepped into a Co-Leader role for our community impact project, which gave me the chance to represent not just All Craft, but our industry, in a really positive way.”

Learning How Rochester Works

The program also gave Matt a deeper understanding of how Rochester’s business and civic communities operate together.

“I’ve learned a ton about how our community actually works and why it works the way it does. We’ve had direct conversations with community leaders, elected officials, and business leaders, which has been eye opening. Some of the relationships I’ve built through LGR are ones I know I will carry well beyond the program.”

Recognition From the Team

Our General Manager, Jewels DeCorsey, attended the graduation ceremony and saw firsthand the impact Matt made throughout the program.

“Matt put so much time and effort into LGR, and we can clearly see the growth he achieved through the program. It was a pleasure to be at the graduation ceremony last night to celebrate Matt’s hard work.

Matt represented All Craft very well, and it was great to hear the company get  a shoutout in front of the entire room!”

Company founder Brent Beck also recognized the ammount of extra effort involved.
“I wanted to thank Matt for all the hours he put in and the dedication to getting this done. It was great exposure for the company.”

More Than Graduation

For Matt, though, the biggest takeaway wasn’t just the graduation itself—it was the experience and relationships built along the way.

“Overall, it’s a great program. It’s more about the journey, the relationships, and the growth than it is about the end result and that’s what makes it worth it.”

Following the ceremony, Matt shared one final reflection with the team:

“I wanted to drop a note to say thank you for the opportunity to represent All Craft in our community. I did so to the best of my ability with the goal of moving All Craft forward. Thanks for all the support and recognition along the way, it honestly does mean a lot.”

At All Craft Exteriors, we’re proud to support employees who invest their time, energy, and talent into making Rochester stronger. Leadership doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when people choose to show up, do the work, and stay engaged even when the schedule gets ugly.

Matt did exactly that.

Congratulations, Matt—and well done.
