On Thursday, May 15, 2025, a powerful storm system swept through western Wisconsin, bringing with it severe weather conditions that significantly impacted Eau Claire and its neighboring communities. The National Weather Service reported hailstones reaching up to 4 inches in diameter in Eau Claire County, with substantial damage observed in areas like Altoona and Chippewa Falls . Wind gusts nearing 100 mph were also recorded, leading to widespread damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.
In Eau Claire, hailstones as large as 3 inches were measured at the WEAU studios, while Altoona experienced hail up to 4 inches in diameter . These extreme conditions have left many homes vulnerable, with damage that may not be immediately visible.

Eau Claire, Altoona, Chippewa Falls, Lake Hallie, Fall Creek, Seymour, Lake Wissota, Augusta, Cadott, Bloomer
